You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” in accordance with The No Surprises Act. Under Federal law, healthcare providers must give patients who do not have or are not using insurance for services an estimate of the cost of services. I provide all clients with a Good Faith Estimate of out of pocket costs for therapy. For more information call 1-800-985-3059 or click here.

I offer 50 minute sessions, and you can expect to meet weekly. Depending on your goals and symptoms, we may meet more or less frequently. For EMDR, I offer 90 minute and 3 hour sessions.
I take your privacy and confidentiality seriously. To protect your personal information, I use an email encryption service that is HIPAA-compliant, as well as a HIPAA-compliant video platform for virtual sessions.
Our first appointment together serves as a formal consultation and assessment session. I will want to hear about what led to you making an appointment, current stressors and symptoms, your goals for therapy, and some background information. We will discuss a plan for treatment which will be tailored to your needs and goals. It is essential to work with a therapist who provides an environment and approach that you find comfortable and helpful. If either of us decides we are not the best fit, I will provide you with referrals to other excellent therapists.
I see clients in person at my office in the loop across from Millenium Park, as well as virtually through my HIPAA-compliant video platform. Research shows that teletherapy yields similar results to in-person therapy.
Although I am an attorney licensed in California, I choose to practice therapy exclusively in Illinois and no longer practice law in any capacity. As such, nothing I say to you is or should be construed as legal advice. If you are seeking legal advice at any time, you must consult with your attorney.
